Just bought a new Carbon X1 Lenovo - Windows Was surprised to see the crapy application Candy Crush installed and that there is now way to remove it. Please tell me how to do it. Considering returning the computer and by a macbook as I feel tricked by Microsoft. Was able to remove the xbox mains application but seems that there is some packages that can't be removed. Thanks for your feedback. This was a new computer and it seems like the last update of windows 10 did not get installed. I did a manual installed and wow When you right click the only option is 'Pin to start'.
When you do that and right click on the larger tile, the only option is to unpin them. They are not in the older program uninstall option via control panel either.
Trying the commands recommended on other sites using PowerShell don't work - I suspect they have changed the package names to not have Candy Crush in them at all so they can't be so easily removed. I installed the latest release of windows 10 Version and the 'uninstall' option became available from the righ click menu from these applications. I recently bought an HP desktop and a dell insprion laptop which allowed me to uninstall, even after running various windows updates.
I ended up solving by installing candy crush friends saga from the Microsoft store and then uninstalling. When I did that it actually removed multiple bloatware games candy crush, cooking fever, whatever. Assume the intent of this stupidity is to force a user to at least try a game.

Hello ipelland Try this way Open the Start menu. Start button Click Settings. Select an app you wish to uninstall. If it is grayed out, this is a system app you cannot remove.
